As the European Parliament prepares to vote on New Genomic Techniques (NGTs), Plants for the Future European Technology Platform (Plant ETP) has issued a statement concluding its “I Support NGTs” campaign and urging Members of the European Parliament to support the current legislative compromise without further amendments.

The statement highlights the need for a clear and workable EU framework to accelerate innovation in plant breeding and strengthen the sustainability, resilience and competitiveness of Europe’s agri-food systems, in line with global developments.
